Another Great Day at Derby

Yesterday we had a family day at Uncle Bill's cabin in Derby, IN. We spent the day eating, swimming, spending time on the boat and catching up with the Schmitt side of the family. Josiah had a great time. The first thing we did when we got there was have a potty stop. Josiah thought that the mirrored shower door was the coolest thing. Upon entering the bathroom and seeing the full length mirror he exclaimed, "I know I was going to like Uncle Bill's cabin!" The tone for the day was set. We had only been there a few minutes and Grandpa, Daddy Leah and Josiah were already trying out the paddle boat. The water level is a little low and apparently they all got stuck on a stump. No matter which direction they tried to go the paddle boat went in a circle because of the stump. They finally freed themselves and returned to the cabin for lunch. After Lunch we all packed up and went to the pond for some swimming and to shoot off the famous potato gun. I have never seen so many grown men be so silly. We all decided to go out on the two boats available for a fast ride on the Ohio River. Josiah was upset most of the time we were on the boats because he was not on the same boat as Grandpa. When we finally got back to the cabin we found out that Grandpa stayed behind to take a nap on the hammock. We ate a quick dinner at about 9:15pm before heading back to Louisville. A fun day was had by all.
