We are approved!

Today I heard from our adoption agency, Americans for International Aid and Adoption(AIAA) that our formal application has been approved and they are setting up our paperwork to go to Korea. It should be any day now and we will be on the "official" waiting list with our Korean agency, Social Welfare Society(SWS). This is a tiny step, but one that brings us closer to our baby in Korea. The wait times right now are about 8-9 months for a picture of baby and then another 4-6 months to travel. This timeline changes almost daily so it is just a rough estimate as to where we truely are in process. We are excited.

  1. The waiting begins. Praying for swiftness in the paperwork in Korea. I'm coming to the airport for this one!

  2. Brings back memories! Our son, who is also from Korea, is heading to college in a week. It seems like yesterday that we were waiting, too.

Best to you as your family grows!
